The deeper we looked, the clearer it became—there was a gap.

According to UNICEF and UN Women, more than 500 million women and girls worldwide lack access to menstrual products and safe sanitation facilities.
In Malaysia, a study in Perak showed that:
16.7% of schoolgirls suffer from period poverty
20.9% skip school during menstruation
46% of rural girls have limited access to sanitary pads
